Apartments with a bathtub in Tossa de Mar

In apartments of 17 to 22 square metres you normally get a shower and little else. At Apartamentos El Sol II, four of the ten have a bathtub: Loft 201, Loft 202, Loft 203 and Loft 206. All four are on the second floor, at Avinguda de Ferran Agulló, 2, a five-minute walk from the beach.

If there are two of you, Loft 201 (19 m²) and Loft 203 (20 m²) are the most straightforward: double bed, wardrobe, blackout curtains and a private bathroom with a bathtub. Loft 206 matches Loft 201 in size and equipment. If there are three of you, Loft 202 is the only one of the four that sleeps three: 22 m² with a double bed and a sofa bed, and one of the two largest apartments in the building.

It sounds like a whim until you have spent the whole day out. After climbing up to the Vila Vella and the lighthouse, or walking a stretch of the Camí de Ronda towards the coves to the north, a bathtub stops being a luxury and becomes the difference between going out for dinner and staying in.

It also matters if you are travelling with a small child: washing them standing up in a shower tray, after a day of sand and salt, is more work than it sounds.

There is a trade-off, and we would rather tell you before you book: the four apartments with a bathtub are on the second floor. Those on the third floor —Loft 304, 305 and 306— have a shower, but they get more light and are further from the street noise. If you want the top floor, you will be choosing a shower.
